A brief history of me

At 16 my work was highly figurative (the sculpture below). To be honest, I was showing off. Then I went to art school and bowed to the pressure to be ‘free’ and became conceptual just like everyone else. After I got my BA from Central St Martins in 2001, I went to Hollywood to be a cowgirl.

I managed a dude ranch called Sunset Ranch. It was in HOLLYWOOD, just under the ‘D’. I moved back to London in 2005 to paint, which was when I was short-listed for the Mercury Art Prize. In 2007 I realized that London was in fact cold and rainy and that I liked being in California. I moved continents for the third and final time and took a job training animals for commercials, TV and Film.

I now make artwork fulltime; I sell paintings all over the place (see the list of galleries where you can see my work on the info page). I also do illustration, graphic design and all that kind of thing.
